Over generations, Gaindamull Hemraj has continuously expanded the range of products and brands available to customers in Shimla. That has meant longstanding relationships with some of the largest national and international businesses in the country.
It has equally meant bringing imported products into a hill town that had no other way of getting them, and giving new and emerging brands their first shelf in this market.
Retail, done properly, is not a transaction. It is discovery, curation and a close reading of how tastes change. After a century and a half of watching Shimla change, we have learned to read it well.

The historic Gaindamull Hemraj retail presence, at the heart of Shimla. Provisions, confectionery and travelling goods gave way to a far wider range over the decades. The address, and the reason people come to it, have not changed.

Our retail presence serving the evolving needs of customers across New Shimla. A contemporary store for a part of the city that has grown up around us, carrying the same idea our first shop was built on: have what people actually want, before they have to ask twice.
